Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours with a qualified counsellor. During our sessions, we’ll work together to understand your challenges, set goals, and explore ways to help you feel more empowered and in control. I use various approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Integrative Therapy, allowing me to personalise each session to your unique needs and goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, where you’re encouraged to share as much as you feel comfortable with, and we’ll work at a pace that suits you.
You might benefit from therapy if you’re experiencing emotional challenges that impact your wellbeing or daily life. Signs that therapy could be helpful include ongoing feelings of anxiety, low mood, lack of confidence, or difficulty coping with stress, a bereavement or loss. Therapy can also be a supportive space to work through life changes, relationship challenges, or personal development goals. If you’re unsure, I offer a free 15-minute assessment session where we can discuss your concerns and help you decide if therapy is the right step for you.
Each session is 50 minutes long, providing focused time for us to work through your issues and explore solutions. This time allows for deep engagement without feeling rushed, creating a comfortable and effective space for progress.
Endings are an integral part of the therapeutic process and is a collaborative process between the client and counsellor when the client is ready to end their sessions.
Ending therapy provides the opportunity to help the client identify their progress and discuss the tools and skills the client will take with them moving forward. Enabling them to build on what they have learned and taken away from their sessions and move forward positively outside of counseling.
Payments can be made at the beginning or end of each session, based on your preference. I accept all main payment methods, and we can arrange a system that suits you best.
As well as face-to-face sessions, I offer online sessions for clients who may not be able to attend in person. Online therapy is conducted with the same level of confidentiality and care as face-to-face sessions, allowing you to access support from wherever you feel most comfortable. I also offer telephone appointments as an alternative.
I can also provide Talk and Walk sessions, where we can walk outdoors while discussing your concerns in a more informal setting.
The frequency of therapy sessions varies based on individual needs and goals. Many clients find weekly sessions beneficial, especially at the start of therapy, as it allows for consistent support and progress. As therapy continues, some clients choose to space out their sessions to fortnightly or monthly, depending on their progress and comfort level. We’ll regularly review how often you feel sessions are helpful and can adjust as needed to suit your situation.
When considering counselling or coaching, taking the first step can feel daunting. If you have any questions about how therapy works, or if you’re unsure whether it’s the right path for you, I offer a free 15-minute initial assessment. This is a no-obligation opportunity to explore your concerns, learn more about my approach, and decide if we’re the right fit to work together.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. I offer face-to-face, online, and telephone appointments with flexible appointment times including weekend and evening appointments to make accessing support as convenient as possible. Together, we can explore how counselling or coaching can help you move forward.
